Canon EOS 6D
The Canon EOS 6D was originally launched late in 2012. It has a full frame APS sensor with 20.2 megapixels, and Canon's DIGIC 5+ image processing chip. It was Canon's first DSLR to have GPS and built-in WiFi capability.
The purchase of this camera was my first step into taking astrophotography seriously, and it coincided with my purchase of the Celestron Nexstar Evolution Edge HD8 bundle. Now that I have my monochrome astrocamera I don't actually use this camera very much for astrophotography any more, but it was excellent as an introduction to the hobby with its superb low light performance. It will continue to be my first choice camera for regular photography, because the low noise full frame sensor delivers superb clarity and excellent depth of field control when paired with my Canon L series lenses.
